So many results that aren't mine?

Hatay İlinde Tarım Sektörünün Yeri ve Önemi

Abstract:

In this study, agricultural structure of Hatay city which has an important place in Turkey was examined. The criterias which were taken into consideration to examine agricultural structure were given as comparatively to Turkey’s data. Countrywide, Hatay city has a 1,95% share in population, 1.23% share in national income, 1.22% share in export, 1.29% share in import. The share in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is 16%, and it is 29% in employment. In terms of agriculture, 1.03% of total agricultural area is in Hatay city, and there are 21463 farmers who are registered in Farmer Registration System. Hatay city takes the first place in Turkey in chard, parsley, dill, and mandarin production. Also, 21% of citrus production, 12% of cotton production, 11% of carrot production and 8% of olive production are produced in Hatay city. These values provide 2.20% of vegetative production of Turkey. Hatay city takes a 1.65% share from Turkey’s total agricultural subsidies, this ratio goes up to 2.71% in vegetative production subsidies. According to the study, agricultural subsidy payment value per farmer is 74.69% over Turkey’s average. There are some problems in Hatay city’s agricultural sector in terms of organization, quality and marketing. Dynamising producer organizations, and founding marketing councils would improve the income considerably that is gained from agricultural production.
