Eğitim sistemi toplumsal, ekonomik ve kültürel değişimlerden etkilenerek uygun görülen politikalarla yeniden düzenlenmektedir. Son yıllarda Türkiye’de eğitimde özelleştirme politikalarının ön planda olduğu görülmektedir. Kamunun yükünün azaltılarak eğitimin kalitesinin arttırılmasını hedefleyen eğitim politikaları ışığında sayıları her geçen gün artan özel okullarda çalışan öğretmenlerin çalışma şartlarının sorgulanması gerektiği düşünülmektedir. Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, özel okullarda çalışan öğretmenlerin çalışma koşulları ve gelecek kaygıları üzerine görüşlerini tespit etmektir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden araştırmanın doğasına uygun olan olgubilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden maksimum çeşitlilik örnekleme yöntemiyle mesleğinde farklı hizmet sürelerine sahip özel okulda çalışan 12 öğretmen ile görüşme yapılmıştır. Araştırma verileri, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Çalışmada verilerin, betimsel analiz ile çözümlenmesi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Katılımcılar genel olarak özel okulların çalışma şartlarının öğretmenler üzerinde olumsuz etkiler oluşturduğunu düşünmektedir. Ayrıca katılımcılar genel olarak özel okulda öğretmenlik yapmayı isteyerek seçmediklerini, sosyal ve ekonomik anlamda plan yapamadıklarını ve gelecek kaygısı taşıdıklarını ifade etmişlerdir. Katılımcılar özel okulları ifade ederken lunapark, paralı dadılık, hizmetçilik, bakıcılık, yarı açık cezaevi, bozuk araba, enerji emici makine, atari salonu, ticarethane, otelcilik hizmeti gibi metaforları kullanmıştır. Özel okullarla ilgili öğretmenlerin olumsuz görüşleri özel okullarda çalışan öğretmenlerin çalışma şartlarının iyileştirilmesi, gelecek kaygılarının azaltılması için iş güvencelerinin sağlanması, özlük haklarının iyileştirilmesi gerekliliğini ortaya çıkarmaktadır.
The educational system is reorganized by the appropriate policies, influenced by social, economic and cultural changes. In recent years, it has been seen that the privatization policies in education in Turkey are in the forefront. In light of the educational policies aimed at improving the quality of education by reducing the burden of the public, it is believed that the number of teachers working in private schools increasing every day should be questioned. The main objective of this research is to identify teachers working in private schools’ opinions on working conditions and their future concerns. The research has been used in the quality research patterns that match the nature of the research. With the maximum variety of sample methods, 12 teachers working in a private school with different periods of service in the profession have been interviewed. Research data was collected using semi-configured interview technique from quality research methods. In the study, the data was analyzed by visual analysis. Participants generally believe that the working conditions of private schools have a negative impact on teachers. Also, the participants generally expressed that they did not choose to teach in private schools, that they could not plan in the social and economic sense and that they were concerned about the future. When the participants expressed private schools, they used metaphors such as lunapark, paypal, servicing, care, semi-open prison, damaged car, energy-absorbent machine, atari hall, shopping room, hotel service. The negative opinions of teachers about private schools reveal the need to improve the working conditions of teachers working in private schools, provide employment guarantees to reduce future concerns, and improve the rights of property.
The system of education that is infuenced by social, economical and cultural changes has been reorganized with allowable policies. In recent years it is seen that in Turkey privatization policies in education is at the forefront. It is thought that in consideration of education policies which aim at improving quality of education while reducing burden of public, the working conditions of the teachers working in private schools should be questioned. The main purpose of the research was to determine the views of teachers about working conditions and future anxieties of teachers at private schools. The research was designed as a phenomenology model. Maximum variation sampling method was prefered in the research and participants were 12 teachers who work in private schools and who have different seniority. Data were collected by semi-structured interviews. Data have been analyzed through descriptive analysis. Generally, the participants said that the working conditions affected the teachers negatively. Also, participants stated that working at private schools was not their first choice, they have future anxieties as regards re-employment. According to results of research, it is necessary that improving the working conditions of teachers working in private schools, providing job security for reducing future anxieties and improving personal rights.
