Introduction and Purpose: Human immune failure virus (HIV) is a virus that can be interpersonally transmitted and that can cause an inherent immune failure syndrome (AIDS). The laboratory diagnosis uses the ELISA method and the positive results are verified with Western-Blot (WB). The third stage of this study aims to assess the HIV-positive rate in a two-year period in a hospital. A total of 59543 blood samples from the Izmir Reaction Education and Research Hospital Microbiology Laboratory have been tested with the macro ELISA system (Architect-Abbott, USA) HIV antibodies.
