Abstract:

Background & Objectives: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is characterized by airflow limitation and inflammation. Mean platelet volume (MPV) may be used as a marker of inflammation. We aimed to study the association between MPV and COPD patients during acute attack and relationship of MPV with severity of COPD by FEV1 (%predicted), BODE Index, PaO2, mMRC grade and 6MWD test.
