Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the relationship between high school students’ self-confidence and body education lesson attitudes. In the research, in the 2019-2020 educational year in the Isparta province, the total population intensity and the research universe of 2100 were selected by 422 volunteer students, studying in three official high schools, selected by a simple random method. In the study, visual and relative scanning methods have been used to reveal the current situation. In the study, participants were asked to fill the attitude and self-confidence scales of the body training course for high school students with a personal information form. The statistical processes were performed using the IBM SPSS 22.0 package program from the computer environment. The scores that participants obtain from the scales are presented as the arithmetic average and the standard deviation X±Sd.Spearmen correlation and regression analyses have been applied to reveal the relationships between the scales.®According to the statistical processes, the participants’ self-confidence values are above the average, and the body training class attitude is below the average.Self-confidence and body training lesson attitude levels are found to be meaningful, while the model that creates a relationship in a low-level negative direction. It is believed that the reason for this outcome, especially one of the important periods of the educational and educational life, may be due to the thoughts and attitudes of the school managers or parents to study the priority subjects in the exam or the way the physical education and sport courses are processed and the lesson hours are insufficient.
