PRACTICAL ASPECTS OF LAYERING OF CERAMICS ON THE ZIRCONIUM OXIDE SUPPORT

Abstract:

In dentistry, ceramics represent one of the four major classes of materials used to reconstruct teeth that have undergone deep carious processes, trauma or to restore missing teeth. The purpose of this material is to present several practical components, which intervene in the fabrication of prosthetic restorations on zirconium oxide support, insisting especially on the details related to the stratification of the ceramic masses. The superior aesthetic appearance of ceramic-coated zirconia restorations is obtained because the material used helps to reproduce the optical properties of a natural tooth.
