Abstract:

In this study, the validity and reliability of the Turkish form of the Academic Azim Scale (AAÖ) has been studied. Data were collected from two separate sampling groups (N1 = 511, 60.5 percent girls, Middle Ages = 14.42, SSY = 2.06; N2 = 388, 52.8 percent girls, Middle Ages = 14.50, SSY = 1.54) including high school and high school students. The research used the Demographic Information Form, the Academic Intensity Scale (AAÖ), the Short Intensity Scale (SEBAT) and the Multi-Dimensional Student Life Scale Short Form (KF) as data collection tools. Research findings have shown that the original single-factor structure of the AOC of 10 substances has been confirmed in the target sample. The positive correlation indicators calculated between AAÖ and KAÖ and CBÖYDÖ-KF have supported the measure-linked validity of AAÖ. The Cronbach alpha ratio is .92, test-up test reliability is calculated as .90. The data obtained from the second sample group supported the cross-validity and reliability of the AAÖ. The results of the multi-group verifying factor analysis showed that AAO has structural and metric disorders according to gender (girl, male) and adolescence development stages (first adolescence, middle adolescence and advanced adolescence). All of these findings have shown that AAÖ is a valid and reliable measurement tool in the study of the academic determination levels of high school and high school students. Research findings and limitations have been discussed, recommendations for future research have been developed.
