Abstract:

Simply speaking, the concept of "digital age" is defined as a timeline where more information can be used and more people can access this information at the highest level, especially through computer (electronic brain) technology. The developments in the field of information and communication technologies (BITs), mainly the ‘internet’ which has been marked to the last wings of the twentieth century and began to be widely used, have a broad impact on the economic, cultural and social life of individuals in society as well as on the political sphere. This article will first include a series of definitions in literature to understand what the concept of "digital age" means, and immediately then the historical calendar chart of the concept will be drawn up. Then, with the impact of the digital age on the potential to create political participation, the e-participation activities created according to place, time, destination and need in this scope will be addressed and analyzed with the main lines.
