Abstract:

Abstract:

The type of component that includes performance characteristics, the quantities of components and one of the most used special stations of concrete that we can change with different additions are fiber concrete. The characteristics of basalt fiber in terms of lif type and concrete conformity are better than most fiber types. The study has studied the change in the mechanical characteristics of concrete containing basalt fiber in different appearance rates according to fiber-free control concrete. For this purpose, water/cement ratio is 0.46, 400 doses, 5% fiber-added and fiber-free concrete samples are produced. Three different l/d ratio (160, 630 and 1263) basalt fiber of 3mm, 12mm and 24mm lengths are added to five different volume ratio of 0.025, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15 and 0.20 concrete. The use of basalt fiber concrete’s pressure resistance rates, regardless of the l/d ratio, generally increased by 0.05 per cent of volume, resulted in negative consequences, while the resistance value of almost all groups increased for drawing resistance. Another outcome from the study is the use of 3 mm (l/d:160) fiber that gives good results with general reputation in terms of mechanical characteristics.

Effect Of Aspect Ratio Of Basalt Fiber On The Mechanical Properties Of Concrete
2019

Abstract:

One of the most used special types of concrete we can change with component types, component quantities and different additives that are included in performance characteristics is fiber concrete. In terms of fiber type, the properties of basalt fibers and their compatibility with concrete are better than most fiber types. In the study, the change of the mechanical properties of concrete containing basalt fiber at different aspect ratios according to non-fiber (control) concrete was investigated. For this purpose, samples of fiber and non-fiber concrete with a water/cement ratio of 0.46, 400 doses, 5% filler added were produced. Three different l/d ratios (160, 630 and 1263) of basalt fibers in 3 mm, 12 mm and 24 mm lengths were added to the concrete in 0.025%, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15 and 0.20 in five different volumes. For compressive strength of basalt fiber concretes, the use of higher ratio of 0.05% by volume, which is independent of l/d ratio, gave negative results and almost all groups have increased resistance values for bending tensile strength. As a result, 3 mm (l/d: 160) fibers, which give good results in terms of mechanical properties, should be used.
