Abstract:

Purpose: Detection of maternal and early neonatal results of vacuum-assisted vaginal births. Method and means: Vacuum indications of pregnancies born with vacuum-assisted vaginal birth in our clinic between 2014 and 2018 were examined retrospectively and maternal and early neonatal results were examined. The newborn intensive care unit (YDYBU) has been studied the sleep indications of babies with bed needs.The patient's age, the week of pregnancy, the birth weight of the fetus,1. And the 5th minute APGAR scores were shown as an average ± standard deviation. Results: In 92 of the 94 pregnancies involved in the study (97.8 percent), the vacuum test was successful and the fetus was born with vacuum-assisted vaginal birth. 73% of patients (n=69) were primipar and 27% (n=25) were multipar. Of 92 babies, 5 in total, 15 were in need of YDYBU breastfeeding, due to difficult births. In 3 babies, the shoulder distosis in 2 babies was determined at <7.20 umbilical cord pH. In total, 11 maternal complications occurred and none of them needed additional surgery including laparotomy, only 1 patient needed blood transfusion. Conclusion: Vacuum-assisted vaginal birth is an approach that will reduce the primary caesarine rates with increased use, with less maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality risk than fear when applied in the appropriate group of patients.
