Abstract:

Today, the teaching of social-mobility subjects is one of the most important objectives of modern science education, and many institutions and organizations around the world have emphasized the inclusion of social-mobility subjects in the curriculum, the discussion and analysis of these subjects. At this point, the attitudes of teachers who will also influence their attitudes in addition to the knowledge of the students about social issues and therefore the teachers candidates who will be the teacher of the future will be determined. The aim of this study is to examine the attitudes of the teachers candidates towards social issues. The sample of the study, which is derived by the scan method, consists of 290 teachers candidates (223 girls, 67 men) continuing to the University of A and the University of B School of Education. The data of the study was collected with the 'Social Attitude Measurement to Social Affairs' developed by Gunçu (2010) . The results of the analysis have found that the attitude points of the teachers candidates towards social-mobility issues are high in the scale. There are also no significant differences according to the type of university and class levels, but there are significant differences according to gender and the status of a scientific publication/tracking magazine.
