Football is a Brazilian and worldwide phenomenon that drags fans and practitioners around the world, whether it be for leisure or high yield. In Brazil high income level occurs through various competitions such as the Copa Libertadores of America. It is the most important South American football event. The present work makes a quantitative analysis of the finalizations of the first four teams of the competition: Atletico Nacional (Colombia), Independiente Del Valle (Ecuador), Boca Juniors (Argentina) and São Paulo Futebol Clube (Brazil). The goal was to see if the winning team, Atletico Nacional, was the best in terms of finalizations and point out which sector of the field the teams most finalized. Data collection was done through the visualization of forty-eight matches, being pre-qualifying, group qualifying, quarter-finals, quarters, semi-final. Observing the moment of pre-finishing and the place where the play was completed. That we have as main data, the Argentine team with 2 games less than all, but obtained a goal average greater than other two teams. The work comes with samples of the numbers collected and bringing the final results of the analyzes, to state whether or not the team that finished the most was the champion of the competition, is consistent with its offensive use in the tournament. Finally, we pointed out that the winning team was not the one that finished the most among the four teams analyzed.
