Kuşaktan kuşağa aktarılan gelenekler, o toplumun temel taşıdır. Gelenekler zaman ve mekâna göre değişerek, insana doğumdan ölüme kadar bütün geçiş dönemlerinde eşlik eder. Geleneklerin amacı, kişinin bulunduğu geçiş dönemine uyum sağlamasını kolaylaştırmak ve kişiyi bu sırada yoğunlaştığına inanılan tehlike ve zararlı etkilerden korumaktır. Geçiş dönemlerinin ilki olan doğum, Türk halk kültüründe önemli ve sevindirici bir olay olarak kabul edilir. Doğum, aile birliğinin temelini oluşturduğu ve soyun devamlılığını sağladığı için Türk toplumu tarafından büyük önem verilen ve etrafında birçok ritüelin eşlik ettiği bir süreçtir. Çalışma, Dobruca Bölgesinde Türklerin yoğun olarak yaşadığı Köstence ve Tulça şehirlerinde 2012 yılında yapılan “doğum” ve “çevresinde oluşan adetler” konulu alan araştırmamızda kaynak kişilerden derleme metoduyla elde edilen bilgiler ışığında kaleme alınmıştır. Verilerin bir bölümü sınıflandırılarak “doğum sırası” ve “doğum sonrası” başlığı altında incelenmiştir. Makalenin yazılma amacı Dobruca Türklerine ait tespit edilen verileri arşivlemek ve bilimsel ortama aktararak unutulmasının önüne geçmektedir. Ayrıca literatür verileri bağlamında Türk Dünyasında var olan ve/veya unutulmaya yüz tutan ortak “doğum gelenekleri” ni hatırlatmaktır.
Traditions transmitted from generation to generation are the core stone of that society. Traditions vary according to time and place, accompanying man in all the transitional periods from birth to death. The purpose of the traditions is to facilitate the person’s adaptation to the transitional period where he is, and to protect the person from the dangers and harmful effects that he believes to be concentrated at this time. The birth, the first of the transitional periods, is considered an important and pleasant event in the Turkish people's culture. Birth is a process given great importance by the Turkish society because it forms the foundation of family unity and ensures the continuity of the breed and accompanied by many rituals around it. The study was carried out in the light of the information obtained by the method of compilation from the source persons in our study on the "born" and "conformed in the environment" in 2012 in the cities of Köstence and Tulça where the Turks live intensely in the Dobruca region. A portion of the data was classified and studied under the "born order" and "post-born" titles. The purpose of the article is to archive the identified data of the Dobruca Turks and to transfer it to the scientific environment before it is forgotten. It is also to remind the common "born traditions" that exist in the Turkish world in the context of literary data and/or face forgotten.
