Abstract:

From the first months of 2020, we are facing the new type of coronavirus Covid-19 epidemic. The epidemic that caused the World Health Organization to declare a pandemic has negatively affected many areas, primarily education. Many countries interrupted face-to-face education and tried to continue their teaching with remote learning tools. During this process where the educational institutions were unprepared, many problems were faced in the practice of distance learning. In the beginning of the discussed problems, the issue of digital "interference" was claimed. With these problems, the relevant field experts suggested that the pandemic process brings new opportunities in the context of the transformation of the educational system. According to the findings of this study, despite the aforementioned access problems, in pandemic and similar processes, it is important to take more advantage of education than technology-based distance learning opportunities. It is also revealed that in the planning of post-pandem education it is a must to make digital tools more useful. This result is inevitable to cause a radical change in the education system. Therefore, it can be said that flexible teaching approaches, curriculum content, materials and digital tools are useful in developing from today. In this context, we have to think about alternative ways of online-out-line distance learning that will lead to a huge long-term transformation in the education system and start developing solutions to them from today. The effects of this global transformation in the field of education, which began with the pandemic process, appear to be as significant as the industrial revolution in the world.
