In ancient times, various types of containers were produced for the purpose of preserving and transporting agricultural products. One of the most favourite of these types is the amphorals. Initially, single-type amphorals were manufactured in various forms, along with the development of trade and the diversity of transported materials. These amphorals, which continued to exist from the early Tune Age to the Byzantine Age, have spread to a large area. As a result, amphora production centers have been established in many regions. There are numerous amphores registered in the Samsun Museum inventory. These amphorus were evaluated under 11 areas and the catalog work was carried out, the works were identified. While the study is quite difficult to identify where the amphors are produced and to create a chronology, it is aimed at contributing to current literature with the results that have been tried to date and compared with similar examples.
