Abstract:

The Dove Necklace by Ibn Hazm has puzzling appearances due to analysis and narratives given by its author. There is a great difference between meta-narrative level of legal and theological conceptions of love and social and historical narratives of love. At meta-narrative level, love is a conceptional and thinkable love, while it is an experienced, happening event at the social and historical level. At these two different levels, love appears as a destructive power against human reason on the one hand and an ontological event in the center of human reason on the other.
