Introduction and Purpose: Extremedules are defined by the presence of plasma cells outside the bone marrow in patients with myeloma (EMM), multiple myeloma (MM). With the use of more sensitive imaging techniques, EMM can be detected by up to 30% of MM patients throughout the course of the disease. We also intended to investigate the frequency of EMM in our clinic that MM patients. Method and Requirements: From January to August 2018, the files of patients diagnosed with multiple myeloma in our clinic were retrospective examined and the frequency of EMM was examined. Extremedules were divided into two groups as those who have myelomu and those who do not. Factors that could affect these two groups have been analyzed. 37 of the 67 patients involved were men, 30 were women, and the average age was 59.9±11.2. Extremedules were detected in 31 patients with myeloma (46.3%). In 28 (41.8 percent) of these patients, bone-related plasmasitoma was detected, and in 4 (6 percent) extramedular disease was detected. The most frequent bone-related plasmasitoma is also seen in the vertebra, while the most frequent extracurricular disease is seen in the lungs. EXTRAMEDULES: The ratio of myeloma in our patient population has been high compared to literature.
