Özet:

The purpose of the research is to determine the levels of availability in the school guitar training course of the guitar training method based on the seventh position developed by the famous guitar reporter and composer Bekir Küçükay as an alternative guitar training model. The work group, the 2014-2015 academic year of the Atatürk University Kazim Karabekir Education Faculty Music Education Anabilim Branch school play (gitar) training course has a total of 40 students. In the study, a special type of mixed patterns, control group pre-test-final test experimental patterns were used. According to the results of the pre-experimental pattern equality test, the test group (n: 20) and the control group (n: 20) are determined. The application stage of the study was carried out within approximately 4 weeks. The results of the experimental process were analyzed with the SPSS 20 statistical program. The control and experiment group used Mann Whitney U test from non-parametric tests to determine whether there is a significant difference between the students’ pre-test and final test results. Study based on the seventh position developed by Bekir Küçükay and the researcher, used within the teaching system, was sought to respond to the influence of students on their guitar playing skills. The research results showed that the study group students were more successful than the control group students. Availability of Seventh-Position-Based Alternative Guitar Teaching Model in School Musical Instrument (Guitar) Education Abstract: This research aimed to determine availability levels of seventh-position-based guitar education method, developed by renowned guitarist and composer Bekir Küçükay, in school musical instruments guitar education lesson as an alternative guitar education model. The study group covered 40 students taking school musical instruments (guitar) education lessons at Ataturk University, Kazim Karabekir Faculty of Education Department of Music Education during the academic year of 2014-2015. In the study, an experimental research design with pre-test/post-test and control group, a special type of random assignment, was used. In accordance with the results of the equivalence test, conducted before the experimental design, the experimental group was established as (n: 20) and the control group was established as (n: 20). The implementation phase of the research was realized within a period of approximately 4 weeks. Data, obtained from the experimental process, were analyzed with SPSS 20 statistic program.
