It is very important to provide feedback in “process writing” education since students can improve their text writing skilss via utilizing the feedback provided. Relevant research in the related literature reveals that it is necessary and important to provide feedback. While some of the studies conducted on feedback are related to the students’ views, some reflect teachers’ views on this. The aim of this study is also to investigate teachers’ preferences of providing feedback when teaching Turkish as a foreign language. The participants of the study included forty-eight instructors teaching Turkish to foreigners. The data were collected through the questionnaire developed by the researchers. The collected data were analysed and presented. The results indicate that instructors expressed the need to provide feedback. The study also found that the instructors stated that feedback should be provided as soon as the writing ends
