Özet:

The aim of the study to determine the relationship between corruption and poverty through economic growth. Data was collected through questionnaire on five point Likert scale from 90 respondents by using convenience sampling technique. Data is collected from the local population of Okara who have the clear know how about the topic. This study is conducted with the reference of Pakistan. Correlation and regression analysis were used as statistical tests. Through regression analysis it was found that corruption had strong positive significant relationship with poverty whereas economic growth had weak relationship with poverty. The correlation analysis found that the significant relationship between the corruption, economic growth and poverty. The Cronbach alpha reliability is 0.606, it concludes that corruption have positive relationship with poverty. After finding the relationship we sketch our conclusion and propose that private Anti-corruption initiatives and civic schooling crusade/programmes should be strengthen and forced in to address the reason of fraud quite than its effects. SPSS version 16 is used for data analysis and End-Note version six is use for citations and references. Key Words: Corruption, Economic Growth, Poverty, Local Area, Pakistan.
