Edebiyat beslendiği toplumsal hayata kayıtsız kalamaz. O hayatın rengiyle boyanır, nefesiyle soluklanır. Özellikle şiir türü katmanlı dil yapısıyla hayatta olup bitenlere en net tepkiyi koyan edebi türlerden biridir. Dilin imkânlarını sonuna kadar kullanan şiir, insanın elindeki dünyanın kurulu yanlarını anlatırken, onun aradığı ideal dünyaya dair haberler de verir. Bu açıdan şiirde mevcudun kusurlarından doğan bir karamsarlık duygusu ile ideal dünyanın var olduğu inancına dönük ümidi birlikte görmek mümkündür. Kazak edebiyatının XX. yüzyıl başında yetiştirdiği önemli şairlerinden biri olan Sultanmahmut Torayğırulı şiirlerinde mevcut ve ideali birlikte verir. Yaşadığı dönemde yüzleştiği adaletsizlik, eşitsizlik, eğitimsizlik, yoksulluk gibi gerçeklikleri yüksünmeden dile getiren şair bunu yaparken karamsar bir tablo çizer. Ancak gelecek yani ideal hayatla ilgili beklenti ve betimlemelerinde de oldukça ümitlidir. Torayğırulı, ümit ve karamsarlık kavramlarının diyalektiğinden ortaya çıkan gerilimin okurunu doğru seçimler yapmaya sevk edeceğine inanır. Mevcut gerçekliği anlatırken çizdiği karamsar tablo onun toplumsal hayattaki kusurla yanlara yönelttiği kuvvetli bir itiraz olarak da görülebilir. Nitekim şiir gür sesiyle itiraz için kullanılabilecek en iyi araçlardan biridir. Buna karşılık gelecekteki ideal dünyayı tasvir ederken ortaya koyduğu ümitli tablo da onun okuruna her şeyi düzeltmek için sunduğu bir teklifidir. Torayğırulı, karamsarlık ve ümit kavramlarını kullanarak Kazak halkının hem dış kaynaklı hem de kendi ihmallerinden doğan sorunların çözümü için çareler arar. Sömürüye, cehalete adaletsizliğe, yoksulluğun bir kader gibi algılanışına şiirlerindeki karamsarlıkla itiraz eder. Bu sorunların her anlamda ortadan kaldırılmasının nasıl mümkün olabileceğini ise şiirlerinde yer verdiği ümit duygusuyla ortaya koymaya çalışır. Bu çalışmada ulaşılan sonuçlar şairin manzumeleri dışında kalan şiirlerinin içerik incelemesini yapılarak elde edilmiştir.

Specifically, the poem type is one of the literary species that makes the most clear reaction to what happens with the layer language structure. The poem, which uses the possibilities of the language to the end, tells the established aspects of the world in the hand of man, and gives the news of the ideal world he is looking for. From this point of view, it is possible to see in the poem a feeling of frustration arising from the defects of the present with the hope of the belief that the ideal world exists. XX of Kazakh literature. Sultanmahmut Torayğırulı, one of the important poets he has grown at the beginning of the century, is present in his poems and gives the ideal together. The poet, who speaks the realities of injustice, inequality, uneducation, poverty that he faces in his life, does this while he carries a shy picture. But it is also quite hopeful in the expectations and descriptions of the future, that is, the ideal life. He believes that the tension arising from the dialect of the concepts of hopes and frustration will encourage the reader to make the right choices. The scary picture he drawn when speaking about the present reality can also be seen as a strong objection that he addresses to the side of the defect in social life. In fact, poetry is one of the best tools that can be used to object with a loud voice. In contrast, the hopeful painting he shows while depicting the ideal world of the future is also a proposal he offers to the reader to correct everything. Using the concepts of turmoil, frustration and hope, the Kazak people are looking for ways to solve the problems arising from both external sources and their own disadvantages. He opposes colony, injustice to injustice, the perception of poverty as a fate, with his poetry in the darkness. How this problem can be eliminated in every sense, he tries to reveal with the feeling of hope in his poems. The results obtained in this study were achieved by the content of the poems left beyond the poems of the poet.
