Abstract:

In oral liken planus patients, i-PRF, depo-medrol applications: Case series Purpose: Oral liken planus (OLP) is an autoimmune, inflammatory, mucotic disease that is seen in the oral mucous. Symptomatic treatments are not available because there is no exact treatment. While topical corticosteroids are the first choice in treatment, many different topical or systemic agents have been used. In this series of phenomena, our goal is to share the results we have obtained about the effectiveness of i-PRF, an alternative therapy to corticosteroids in oral liken planus treatment. Fact Description: Erosive, reticular OLP patients who appeal to our clinic with double-sided burning and pain complaints have been applied to the one side of the OLP's gold standard warehouse corticosteroid, and injectable-platelet-rich-fibrin (i-PRF) on the other side. Results: A significant difference was observed between the pre-procedural VAS value and the 2 months post-procedure VAS value. Clinically, it was noticed that the lesion regressed. Conclusion: i-PRF, which is an alternative treatment to corticosteroids in the treatment of OLP, is an autogenous technique that is easy to prepare and can be produced quickly, but it is a completely autologous blood product because it does not contain foreign materials.
