Abstract:

In this study, analysis and evaluations will be made by focusing on the issues addressed by Imam Shafii regarding the person and society in his council. The unique style, literary expressions and descriptions that Imam Shafii used in his divan ensured that his poems continued to exist without losing its vitality. The famous writer and poet Câhız, regarding the Divan of Shafii, said: "I looked at the books of those who are experts in the field of rhetoric, I did not see any more beautiful book than al-Muttalibi. It is as if the Shafii brought the words together like pearls strung on a string. " The statement reveals the strength of the literary aspect of Shafi's work and the quality of the work. Shafi's poems were memorized by Muslim generations and transferred to the next generations without interruption, thus reaching the present day, and has been the focus of attention of many literary researchers and researchers in the historical process. In the studies on the Divan of Shafi'i, the work has been evaluated from many angles. However, since it will go beyond the framework of our study to include all of the relevant evaluations, only issues related to the improvement of the person and society that Shafi'i invited the person and the society to knowledge, piety, self-decency, asceticism, love will be discussed.
