KARSAK DERESİ’NDE SU KALİTESİNİN İZLENMESİ VE GEMLİK KÖRFEZİ’NE ETKİSİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Bursa ili sınırları içerisinde kalan ve İznik Gölü ile Gemlik Körfezi arasında bulunan Karsak Deresi, Gemlik ilçesinin en çok su taşıyan akarsuyudur. İznik Gölü’nün boşalımını sağlayan Karsak Deresi, İznik Gölü ve havzasındaki kirlilik kaynaklarına maruz kalarak içeriğindeki birçok kirletici ile birlikte Gemlik Körfezi’ne dökülmektedir. Orhangazi güney kısmının fosseptik sularının yanı sıra bölgedeki sanayi kuruluşlarının ve özel şirketlerin atık suları Karsak Deresi aracılığıyla Gemlik Körfezi’ne taşınmakta ve önemli ölçüde kirlilik problemi oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, 2013 ve 2014 yıllarında kirlilik izlenmesi amacıyla Karsak Deresi’nde seçilen 10 farklı noktadan mevsimsel olarak alınan su örneklerine ait veriler incelenmiştir. Örneklerde analiz edilen pH, sıcaklık, çözünmüş oksijen, kimyasal oksijen ihtiyacı, amonyak azotu, nitrat azotu, nitrit azotu, alüminyum, bakır, demir, mangan, nikel, çinko, bor, kurşun ve krom gibi parametrelerin mevsimsel ortalamaları, Su Kirliliği Kontrolü Yönetmeliği (SKKY)’nde verilen Kıta içi Su Kaynaklarının Sınıflarına Göre Kalite Kriterleri’ne göre değerlendirilerek Gemlik Körfezi’ne taşınan kirlilik potansiyeli ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır.

The city of Karsak Deresi, which is located within the border of the island of Bursa and between the Isnik Lake and Gemlik Bay, is the most water-transporting stream of the Gemlik district. The Karsak Deresi, which provides the discharge of the İznik Lake, is exposed to the sources of pollution in the İznik Lake and its pool and is thrown into the Gemlik Bay with many contaminants in its content. In addition to the fossil waters of the southern part of Orhangazi as well as the waste waters of industrial organizations and private companies in the region are transferred through the Karsak Deresi to the Gemlik Bay and significantly create a problem of pollution. In this study, data from seasonal water samples from 10 different points selected in the Karsak Deresi for pollution monitoring in 2013 and 2014 were examined. The seasonal average of parameters such as pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, chemical oxygen need, ammoniac nitrate, nitrate nitrate, nitrate nitrate, aluminum, baker, iron, manganese, nickel, zinc, bor, balloon and chromium analyzed in the examples, the water pollution control regulation (SKKY) has been tried to identify the potential of pollution transferred to the Gulf by assessing according to the quality criteria according to the Classes of Inland Water Resources (SKKY).
