Abstract:

The Highland Mountains of the West Black Sea Region were declared National Park in 1976 due to its natural beauty and diversity. Since this date, the first facility investment in the area has been a tourism type of winter tourism. This study has evaluated the change that the Ilgaz mountain has experienced in terms of winter tourism and the success rate it has captured. The secondary data collected by the method of document examination. The number of visitors to the facilities in Ilgaz has been assessed, the average nighttime and stay times of visitors and how the availability rates of the facilities have changed. However, in order to evaluate the past data in a more comprehensive way, all the news related to the publication of the tourism related to the Ilgaz mountain has been reviewed. From all the data obtained, the conclusion has been that the Ilgaz mountain has captured a momentum in recent years in terms of winter tourism but has experienced a decline from 2015-2016 years.
