VI. yüzyılda yaşamış, kahramanlığı ve şairliği ile ün salmış Anter bin Şeddâd’ın hayatı etrafında oluşturulan destansı hikâye Sîretü’l-Anter, asırlarca ülkeden ülkeye dolaşmıştır. Sîretü’l-Anter’in Türkçedeki izlerine ise XV. yüzyılda Fatih Sultan Mehmed Han’ın emriyle yapılan “Kıssa-i Anter” adlı tercümeyle rastlanmaktadır. Bu tercümenin mukaddimesinde verilen bilgilere göre Türkçedeki serüveni XV. yüzyıldan daha öncelere dayanan Anter hikâyesi, tespit ettiğimiz el yazması eserlere düşülen farklı tür kayıtlardan hareketle Osmanlı coğrafyasında padişahlardan saray ahalisine, farklı kademelerdeki askerlerden kahvehanelerdeki halka kadar toplumun birçok kesimi tarafından okunmuştur. Çalışmamızın konusunu Anter’in hayatı, Sîretü’l-Anter ile alakalı tespitler ve bunların akabinde Kıssa-i Anter’e ve Topkapı Sarayı Müzesi Kütüphanesi’nde bulunan 9 el yazması nüshaya ait bilgiler oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmamızın temel amacı ise bir dil ve kültür hazinesi olan bu eseri Türk kamuoyu ve ilim âleminin gündemine taşımaktır. Tarama Sözlüğü’ne de kaynaklık etmiş bu esere dair sözlükte verilen bilgilerle Topkapı Sarayı Müzesi Kütüphanesi Türkçe Yazmalar Kataloğu’nda geçen bilgiler incelenerek eksik ve hatalı yerler düzeltilmiştir. Ulaştığımız en önemli sonuçlardan biri Fatih Sultan Mehmed’in emriyle tercüme edilen Kıssa-i Anter’in bilinenin aksine XIV. yüzyıla değil XV. yüzyıla ait olduğudur.

With the information provided in the dictionary about this work that has also come to the search dictionary, the information passed in the Turkish Writing Catalogue of the Topkapı Palace Museum Library has been examined and the missing and wrong places have been corrected. One of the important results we have reached is the short Anter, which was translated by the order of Fatih Sultan Mehmed, unlike the known XIV. Not the 15th century. It belongs to the century.
