The aim of this study is to determine preschool teacher candidates' self-efficacy level regarding parents participation and to examine the factors affecting the self-efficacy level. In this study both qualitative and quantitative research methods were used. Totally 121 teacher candidates who are in fourth year in Pamukkale University Preschool Education Program in 2014-2015 academic year participated in the quantitative part of the study. Quantitative data of the study was collected by the researcher through "Preschool Teacher Candidates' Self-Efficacy Belief Scale Regarding Parents Participation Activities" developed by the researchers. As for the qualitative aspect of study, 10 teacher candidates were interviewed. Preschool Teacher Candidates' Self-Efficacy Belief Scale Regarding Parents Participation, teacher candidates' self-efficacy levels were grouped as low-medium and high considering their average scores for the overall scale and the standard deviation. As for the qualitative aspect, data were analysed using content analysis method. At the end of the study, it was determined that pre-school teacher candidates' self-efficacy level regarding parents participation was medium. In addition, the conclusion was reached that the factors affecting teacher candidates' self-efficacy beliefs were divided as external factors including parents, colleagues and school principals and personal factors including university education and personality.
