Bu araştırmanın amacı, Doğu Anadolu bölgesindeki il merkezlerinde bulunan ilköğretim ve ortaöğretim okullarında bulunan beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin sorunlarını belirlemek ve öğrencilerin beden eğitimi dersine ilişkin tutumlarını araştırmaktır. Araştırmanın evrenini, 2008–2009 eğitim-öğretim yılında Doğu Anadolu bölgesi il merkezlerinde faaliyet gösteren, ilköğretim ve ortaöğretim okulunda görev yapan 522 beden eğitimi öğretmeni ve bu okullarda öğrenim gören 216000 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Doğu Anadolu bölgesinde bulunan (Ağrı, Erzincan, Ardahan, Bingöl, Elazığ, Muş, Malatya, Erzurum, Kars, Iğdır) illerin şehir merkezlerinde bulunan ilköğretim ve ortaöğretim okullarında görev yapan 277 beden eğitimi öğretmeni ve bu okullarda öğrenim gören 5825 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada verilerin toplanmasında iki farklı veri toplama aracından yararlanılmıştır. Bunlar beden eğitimi dersine karşın tutum anketi ve beden eğitimi öğretmeni sorun belirleme formudur. Bu gruplara uygulanan anketlerden oluşan veriler SPSS for Windows 12.00 istatistik programında değerlendirildi. İstatistiksel işlem olarak “Ki-kare, Pearson Momentler Çarpımı, Korelasyon, Tek Yönlü Varyans, LSD Post Hoc Testi” analizlerini kullanılmıştır. Verilerin istatistiksel analizi ve yorumlarında p=0.05 anlamlılık düzeyi dikkate alınmıştır. Araştırmada il merkezlerindeki okullarda görev yapan beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin tesis ve spor malzemelerinin yetersizliğinden dolayı sorunlar yaşadıkları ve kış aylarında ise ders yapma imkânları bulamadıkları ortaya çıkmıştır. Öğretmen sorunlarının fazla olduğu illerde ise diğer illere oranla öğrencilerin derse ilişkin tutumlarının düşük olduğu görülmüştür.
The purpose of this research is to identify the problems of body education teachers in primary and secondary schools located in the province centers in the East Anadolu region and to investigate the attitudes of students towards the body education course. The universe of research consists of 522 body education teachers who operate in the province centers of the Eastern Anadolu region in the 2008-2009 educational year and 216000 students who study in these schools. The examples of the study consist of 277 body education teachers who work in primary and secondary schools in the city centers of the provinces (Ağrı, Erzincan, Ardahan, Bingöl, Elazığ, Muş, Malatya, Erzurum, Kars, Iğdır) and 5825 students who study in these schools. In the study, two different data collection tools were used to collect data. These are the attitude survey and body training teacher's problem determination form despite the body training course. The data of the surveys applied to these groups was evaluated in the SPSS for Windows 12.00 statistical program. As a statistical process, the analysis of "Ki-quare, Pearson Moment Collapse, Correlation, Single Direction Varyans, LSD Post Hoc Test" has been used. In the statistical analysis and commentary of the data p=0.05 has been taken into account. The study found that body education teachers working in schools in the province centers had problems due to the lack of facilities and sports materials and in the winter months they couldn’t find the possibility of teaching. In the areas where the teachers have a lot of problems, the students have a lower attitude towards the lesson compared to the others.
