Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin okul yöneticisi olma isteklerinin çeşitli değişkenlere göre incelenmesidir. Araştırma nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama modelinde yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Yozgat ilinde ilköğretim ve ortaöğretim kurumlarında görev yapan 150 beden eğitimi öğretmeni oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise ilköğretim ve ortaöğretim kurumlarında çalışan 109 beden eğitimi öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Çalık ve Tüzel (2014) tarafından öğretmenlerin okul yöneticisi olmalarına ilişkin isteklilik ve uyum düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla geliştirilen “Okul Yöneticisi Olmaya İsteklilik ve Uyum Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Ölçek, 28 maddeden, “statü ve kazanç”, “çalışma koşulları”, “mesleki yeterlik ve başarı inancı” ve “özel hayatı dengeleme” olmak üzere dört boyuttan oluşmaktadır. Parametrik test varsayımlarından bağımsız değişkenin her bir kategorisinde bağımlı değişkenin normal dağılım göstermediği tespit edildiğinden verilerin analizi parametrik olmayan testlerden Mann Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis testi ile yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin yöneticiliğe istek duyma düzeylerinin cinsiyet, medeni durum, kıdem, eğitim düzeyi, okul büyüklüğü, daha önce yöneticilik sınavına girmiş olma, daha önce soruşturma geçirmiş olma, yöneticilik tecrübesi, tören tertip komisyonlarında görev alma gibi değişkenlerden etkilendiği söylenebilir.

Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the desires of body education teachers to be school managers according to a variety of variables. The research was conducted in a scan model of quantum research methods. The universe of the research was formed by 150 body education teachers who work in primary and secondary education institutions in the Yozgat province. The study includes 109 body education teachers working in primary and secondary education institutions. In this study, the "Will and Compatibility Measure to Be a School Manager" was developed by Çalık and Tüzel (2014) to determine the level of willingness and conformity for teachers to be school managers. The scale consists of 28 articles, four dimensions: "status and profit", "work conditions", "confidence in professional qualification and success" and "balance of private life". The analysis of the data was done with the Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests from non-parametric tests as it was found that the dependent variable did not show normal distribution in each category of variable independent of the parametric test assumptions. As a result, it can be said that the levels of desire for management of body education teachers are influenced by variables such as gender, civil status, age, education level, school size, having previously entered the management exam, having previously undergone the investigation, management experience, taking part in the ceremonial appointment committees.

Determining The Willingness Levels Of Pyhsical Education Teachers To Become Managers

Abstract:

The aim of present study is to examine willingness levels of physical education teachers towards school management with respect to several variables. This study was conducted using the survey model, which is a member of qualitative research methods. Sample space of the study consists of 150 physical education teachers, who work in primary and elementary schools in Yozgat province. The paradigm of the study, on the other hand, consists of N=109 physical education teachers. In this study, “Willingness to Become School Administrator and Adjustment Scale”, which was developed by Çalık and Tüzel (2014) with the purpose of assessing teachers’ willingness of being in school management and adaptation levels. The scale consists of 28 statements and each statement has a Likert scale in the style of “1-Strongly disagree”, “2-Disagree”, “3-Neither agree nor disagree”, “4-Agree” and “5-Strongly agree”. The scale has four dimensions, which are “status and economic gains”, “work conditions”, professional qualification and belief of success” and “work-life balance”. While looking for an answer for the proposed problem, first step was the examination of parametric test assumptions. Since it was determined that the dependent variable did not show the signs of a normal distribution in any category of the independent variable of parametric test assumptions, non-parametric tests such as Mann Whitney U and Kruskall Wallis were performed. To sum up, it can be concluded that the willingness levels of a physical education teacher to become and administrator is affected by several variables such as gender, marital status, seniority, level of education, school size, having taken an exam for an administrative position, having gone through an investigation, managerial experience and participation in organization committees.
