Abstract:

Suleyman Saim Tekcan is one of Turkey’s leading printing painting masters in printing art. Tekcan has been a tool to move the Original Print to the top stairs in Turkey and is an artist who has joined the original print with his own style. The horse figure works the artist painted along with the line art have a great reputation. As we know, the horse figure has a separate place for Turks from the past to the present day. Thro history, it has found its place in all areas of art and life, from wall paintings, to tomb stones, to miniature to contemporary art. Tekcan also came to the forefront in a significant part of his art life and found the body by joining with traditional values. In this article, the life of Suleyman Saim Tekcan, the innovations he brought to Turkey and Art, and the most notable art element throughout his art life, Riva horses, were discussed.
