Crime is one of the major social issues that concerns all individuals in a society and therefore the whole country. These crimes committed against individuals or laws can be assessed in a very wide range and the consequences that they lead to can in a similar way cause great problems. Crime events are influenced by a variety of socio-economic factors, and the knowledge of these factors and therefore the proper understanding of these trends is important for the proper implementation of the anti-crime programmes. The example of this study consists of economic and demographic factors that determine the number of crimes and the number of crimes in the region of Turkey Level2 from the period 2008-2018. Among the variables of crime, the most valuable variables in total crimes have been sampled. These variables include the crimes of theft and injury. Factors affecting the number of crimes have been considered as the non-profit domestic rate per person, the unemployment rate, the young population rate, the urbanization rate, the number of migrations received by the regions and the percentage of the total population of the people who don’t know how to read and write. In the study, using a balanced panel data set, two different econometric models were established. The appropriate spatial panel regression model in the theft crime model is defined as a fixed effective general spatial (SAC) model. In the established model, all variables except the migration variable are determined to be meaningful in the declaration of the crime of theft. Similarly in the injuries crime model the appropriate model is defined as a fixed effective general spatial (SAC) model. According to the estimated model, only unclean domestic status per person and unlearned population ratio variables are statistically meaningful factors in the declaration of injury crime.
