The aim of this study is to determine the social behavior tendencies of university students according to gender, type of education and doing sports variables. 153 female and 151 male totally 304 students were chosen through random sampling method different faculties of Selcuk University. “Personal Information Form” and “Positive Social Behavior Tendency Scale” were used to obtain data. Descriptive statistics of the data were made and homogeneity and variance were checked. Independent t test was used to analyze the data. Significant differences were determined in terms of gender, type of education and doing sports in emotional, secret, urgent, public and obedient sub-dimensions of positive social behavior tendencies of university students. In conclusion, the findings obtained from this study showed that sports, which is the predictor of many social behaviors, was effective in sports activities of sports students who struggled with winning instinct but the effect was not reflected to any sub-dimension athletes. It may be due to the belief that it will affect negatively.
