Abstract:

The Kalkanlı Mountains, located within the border of the Eastern Black Sea Division of the Black Sea Region, are a typical example of the areas where the natural environment-human interaction occurs. In fact, the natural environmental characteristics of the site have prepared the ground for use from the past to the present as a spread activity area. The development of transport in the Eastern Black Sea Division and the rise in the level of well-being have led to the progressive deterioration of the balance between the natural environment and human interaction in the surrounding area of Çakırgöl and Camiboğazı. Unconformity, unplanned and uncontrolled structures, the loss of ancient importance of the animal economy and the increasing tourism pressure everyday have been identified as the most important problems. In this context, a planning to be implemented taking into account the geographical environmental characteristics and the satisfaction of the needs of the local population and the reduction of environmental disturbances should also be the main objective.
