So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

Perim Island, which is a strategic island in the entrance of the Red Sea, had belonged to the Ottoman Empire with a simple connection for a long time. However European States continuously interested in this island to connect with the Red Sea. England was the most influencial power on the island among European States. England, which settled to the island with various justification, planned to be active on the Gulf of Aden, Red Sea and Egypt. Contrary this target, Ottoman Empire had to protect his influence against the England on this area throughout the XIX. century. Because of the strategic importance, this island had become a competition area. Moreover, this island had unfavorable conditions for human settlement. The presence of British on the island had been caused to conduct activities of states such as France. In this context, French had struggled to capture Sheikh Sait's position at the entrance of the Red Sea. In Aden, Yemen's south, the settlements on the island of Perim would made things more complicated while the continued existence of British since 1839 was a major problem for Ottoman Empire. With this study, in trade between the Red Sea and Egypt, the political competition on the island, situated at an extremely important, had attempted to be examined in the XIX. century. Firstly, the article focused on the importance of the Perim Island in the century and then the arrival of the British. Later in time, the article aimed to show that the Island of Perim was under control from the governors appointed by Ottoman Empire. At the same time, the importance of island from the point of the history of Ottoman presented by politics within century. The most relevant British with the island and Ottoman State's policies against it constituted the main point of the study
