Abstract:

Araştırma Ankara Polis Akademisi 4. Sınıf öğrencilerinden ferdi sporlarla uğraşan (judo, güreş ve taekwando) 30 öğrenci ile tesadüfi yöntemle seçilmiş ve sporla uğraşmayan 30 öğrenci arasında yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın amacı sporla uğraşan ve uğraşmayan öğrencilerin bazı kişilik ve davranış özellikleri arasındaki benzerlik ve farklılıkları tespit ederek, bu özelliklere sporun olumlu veya olumsuz etkilerinin oyup olmadığını araştırmaktır. Araştırma tarama modelindedir. Konu ile ilgili literatür taranış ve anketlerde H.J. EYSENCK ve G WÎLSON'un kişilik testleri kullanılmıştır. Testler 3 büyük kişilik grubu içerisinden toplam 12 alt kişilik boyutundan oluşmuştur. 1- Dışa dönüklük - İçe dönüklük 2- Duygusal denge - Duygusal dengesizlik 3- Katılık - Esneklik Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin fiziksel karakteristiklerinde (yaş, boy, kilo) herhangi bir farklılık görülmemiştir. Dışa dönüklük, İçe dönüklük boyutunda grupların ortalama puanları ile grafiklerin ortalama değerleri arasında benzerlik gözlenmiştir. Duygusal denge , Duygusal dengesizlik boyutunda farklılıklar gözlenmekle birlikte grupların puan dağılımında zikzaklar belirlenmiştir. Dikbaşlılık - Esneklik boyutunda farklılık gözlenmiş ve bazı boyutlarda ise grafik ortalamaları ile paralellik bulunmuştur.

A Research To Specify Certain Personality Traits Of Ankara Police Academy Students Who Are Active and Inactive In Sports

Abstract:

The objective of the research is to determine certain similarities and differences in the personality and behavioral traits of Ankara Police Academy students who are both active ant non active in sports, and especially find out whether the sports have a negative or positive effect on such traits. For this research, 30, 4th year stadents of Ankara Police Academy involved in individual sports (such as judo, karate, wrestling and taekwondo) and another 30 students not involved in sports were selected with random sampling method. Scanning methodology is used the research. The literature pertaining to the subject were scanned. In this research H.J. EYSENCK - GLEN WILSON personality testing techniques were employed. The tests were formed within 3 major personality groups, with a total of 12 personality sub groups. 1- Etroversion - Interversion 2- Emotoinal balance - Emotional Imbalance 3- Convergence - Flexibility A meaningful difference, from the statistical stand point in the average points of the groups, in introvesion - extroversion dimensions were not observed. A similarity was detected between the average points of the groups and the mean graphic values. In the emotional balance - emotional imbalance dimension and in happiness - sorrow personality dimensions and in the dependence - autonomy personality dimension, differences of 0.01 and 0.05 were respectively observed within the level of priority, Meaningful differences were not deteced in the inferiority complex, selfrespect, hangi ups and fixed ideas dimensions. Variations have appeared in the points distribution of the groups. Within the dimensions of aggressiveness-docility, the masculine - feminine dimension points were found to show a difference of 0.05 points. Differences from statistical stand point in the other groups were not detected. A parallel line was observed between the group mean points and graphic mean points.
