Yaratıcı Dramanın İlköğretim 4. Sınıf İnsan Hakları, Yurttaşlık Ve Demokrasi Dersinde Kullanılması

Abstract:

Bu araştırmada, insan hakları, yurttaşlık ve demokrasi dersinde akademik başarı ve öğrencilerin etkin vatandaş olarak yetiştirmede, yaratıcı drama tekniğinin önemi ve etkileri araştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın uygulaması, 2017- 2018 Eğitim-Öğretim Yılı’nda Kayseri İli Kocasinan İlçesi’nde bir ilkokulda gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın deney grubunu 23 kontrol grubunu 24, 4. sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada karma yöntemin açıklayıcı ardışık deseni tercih edilmiştir ve deney ve kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel çalışma yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın, nicel bölümünde ön test-son test uygulamaları yapılmıştır. Yaratıcı drama kullanarak hazırlanan ders planları aracılığı ile deney grubunda uygulama yapılırken, kontrol grubunda müdahalesiz öğretim yapılmıştır. Araştırma bir plan dahilinde 6 hafta sürmüştür. Öğrenci başarı testi ve etkin vatandaşlık ölçeğinden alınan veriler yorumlanmıştır. Bunun yanında yaratıcı drama uygulamaları hakkında deney grubu ilkokul öğrencilerinin görüşleri nitel yöntem çerçevesinde alınmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, yaratıcı dramanın insan hakları, yurttaşlık ve demokrasi dersinde öğrencilerin akademik başarısına etkisine ilişkin anlamlı fark bulunmamıştır, fakat başarı puanlarında artış olmuştur. Etkin vatandaşlık testinden elde edilen bulgularda da benzer durum söz konusudur. Nitel verilerden elde edilen bulgular yaratıcı dramanın olumlu yönlerine dikkat çekmektedir.

Abstract:

In this research, the importance, and effects of creative drama technique on academic success in human rights, citizenship, and democracy course and on raising students as active citizens were investigated. The implementation of the research was conducted in a primary school in Kocasinan District of Kayseri Province in the 2017-2018 Academic Year. The study consists of twenty-three experiment group students, and twenty-four control group students. In the research, explanatory sequential design of the mixed method was preferred, and a quasi-experimental study was conducted with experimental and control groups. In the quantitative part of the research, pre-test-post-test applications were made. While the application was made in the experimental group through the lesson plans prepared using creative drama, the control group was taught without intervention. The research lasted for 6 weeks within a plan. The data obtained from the student achievement test and the effective citizenship scale were interpreted. In addition, the opinions of the experimental group primary school students about creative drama practices were taken within the framework of the qualitative method. According to the research findings, there was no significant difference in the effect of creative drama on the academic success of students in the human rights, citizenship, and democracy course, but there was an increase in the success scores. There is a similar situation in the findings obtained from the effective citizenship test. Findings from qualitative data draw attention to the positive aspects of creative drama.
