Kaşkay Türkçesinin geniş zaman çekiminde asıl biçimlerin yanında bir de fiillerin sonundaki ünsüzlere göre gelişmiş olan biçimler vardır. Bu biçimlerin ortak özelliği, 1. ve 2. şahıslarda görülmesi ve ünsüz benzeşmeleriyle ortaya çıkmış olmasıdır. Söz konusu biçimler, 1. ve 2. şahıslara göre sırasıyla -lAm, -lAŋ, -leg, -lAŋIz ~ -lAyIz -rAm, -rAŋ, -reg, -rAŋIz ~ -rAyIz ve -dAm, -dAŋ, -dAK, -dAŋIz ~ -dAyIz’dır. Kaşkay Türkçesinde /l/’li biçimler, sonunda /l/ ünsüzü bulunan fiillerden sonra meydana gelir. /r/’li biçimler, /r/ ünsüzüyle biten fiillerden sonra kullanılır: gellem (< *gelrem < gelerem) ‘gelirim’, vurram (< vuraram) ‘vururum’ gibi. Kaşkay Türkçesinin karakteristik bir özelliği olarak öne çıkan /d/’li biçimler ise çoğunlukla /d/, /l/, /n/, /ş/, /t/, /v/ gibi diş, diş-damak, diş-dudak ünsüzleriyle biten fiillerden sonra kullanılmaktadır. Bu tür ünsüzlerle (diş ünsüzleriyle) biten fiillerden sonra geniş zaman eki -Ar geldiğinde geniş zaman ekinin ünlüsü düşer. Daha sonra fiilin sonunda yer alan diş ünsüzleriyle geniş zaman ekinin ünsüzü /r/ arasında ilerleyici benzeşme olur. Bu benzeşmenin sonucunda da /d/’li biçimler oluşur: düşdem (< *düşrem < düşerem) ‘düşerim’ gibi. Kaşkay Türkçesinde bu biçimlerin /d/ ünsüzlü olarak kalıplaşmasında, 1. ve 2. şahıslarda -dXm, -dXŋ, -dXK, -dXŋXz ~ -dXyXz biçimleriyle kullanılan görülen geçmiş zaman çekimi etkili olmuş görünmektedir.
