Bu çalışmanın amacı, TR Dizin kapsamında eğitim fakültesi bünyesinde yayımlanan eğitim dergilerindeki matematik eğitimi içerikli makalelerin yöntemsel eğilimlerini belirlemektir. Bu amaç ile birlikte TR Dizin kapsamında yer alan 32 eğitim dergisinin 2015-2020 yılları arasındaki cilt ve sayılarında yayınlanmış matematik eğitimi alanındaki makaleler incelenmiştir. Bu dergilerde belirlenen zaman aralıklarında 8144 adet makaleye ulaşılmıştır. Bu makalelerin başlıkları, özetleri, anahtar kelimeleri ve içerikleri irdelendiğinde, 904 adet makalenin matematik eğitimi alanında yapılmış olduğu belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada, betimsel içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. İçerik analizi yapılırken makalenin yöntemi, yöntembilimi, örneklemi, veri toplama aracı ve analiz açıklaması dikkate alınmıştır. Elde edilen veriler, tablo ve grafikler yardımıyla sunularak yüzde ve frekansa dayalı olarak yorumlanmıştır. Çalışmanın bulgularına göre, makalelerin yarısından fazlasının nitel araştırma yöntemi ile yapıldığı ve durum çalışmasının en fazla tercih edilen desen olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Makalelerdeki örneklemlerin çoğunlukla öğrenci olduğu ve daha çok lisans ile ortaokul öğrencilerine yer verildiği belirlenmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak ölçeklerin, analizlerde ise nicel kestirimsel analizlerin sıklıkla kullanıldığı görülmüştür. Çalışma sonunda, matematik eğitimi alanında yapılan araştırmaların yöntemsel eğilimlerinin çeşitlendirilmesi gerektiğine vurgu yapılarak, bu alanda benzer çalışmalar yapmayı planlayan araştırmacılara yardımcı olabilecek önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
The aim of this study was to determine the methodological trends in mathematics education articles published in educational journals published by faculty of education within the scope of the TR Index. With this aim, articles in the field of mathematics education published in volumes and issues between 2015-2020 of 32 educational journals within the scope of the TR Index were reviewed. 8144 articles were reached in these journals at specified time intervals. When the titles, abstracts, keywords, and contents of these articles were examined, it was determined that 904 articles were made in mathematics education. Descriptive content analysis was used in the study. While analyzing the content, method of the article, method description, sample, data collection tool, and analysis explanation were taken into consideration. The data obtained were presented using tables and graphs and interpreted based on percentage and frequency. According to the findings of the study, it was determined that more than half of the articles were made by the qualitative research method and the case study was the most preferred design. It was determined that the samples in the articles were mostly students and mostly working with undergraduate and middle school students. It was observed that scales were used more as data collection tools, and quantitative predictive analysis was frequently used in the analysis. At the end of the study, it was emphasized that the methodological tendencies of the studies in mathematics education should be diversified, and suggestions were made to help researchers who plan to do similar studies in this field.
