Abstract:

Since the mid-1990s, the internet has become a reality for people around the world. This has led to new risks for users in the cyber world. The rapid spread of the internet has shaped the criminal elements and brought them to new dimensions by transmitting them into the electronic environment. The aim of the study in this context is to explain the concept of cyber crime, to make definitions of crimes in social media and to study the ethical status in the cyber world. It is also divided into specific groups by classifying digital crimes to better understand the purpose of the study. The problem of our qualitative work focuses on the digital crimes that cause concern in the cyber world where social media is within and the ethical issue that is violated in these crimes. In addition, how social media re-forms online crimes is also into the scope of the research problem. The study also included titles such as digital society, control, surveillance and digital culture, and pointed to the control mechanisms used to prevent crime in the cyber world. The study found that the number of social media users in the digital world with a wide data treasury increases day by day, in which case cyber ethics rules remain insufficient and new legal regulations on cyber crimes are made.
