İlkokul Öğrencilerinin Algıladıkları Anne Baba Tutumları ile Sosyal Kaygı Düzeyleri Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

Abstract:

     Bu araştırmanın amacı ilkokul öğrencilerinin algıladıkları anne baba tutumları ile sosyal kaygı düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmada ilişkisel tarama modelindedir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılında Konya İli Selçuklu İlçesinde bulunan iki ilkokulda öğrenim gören 9-11 yaşları arasındaki 427 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Anne Baba Tutum Ölçeği (ABTÖ), Çocuklar İçin Sosyal Kaygı Ölçeği-Yenilenmiş Formu (ÇSAÖ-Y) uygulanmıştır. Verilerin normal dağılıma uygunluğu Tek Örneklem Kolmogorov Smirnov Testi kullanılarak ölçülmüştür. Test sonucunda p<0,05 bulunduğu için verilerin ya da dağılımın normal dağılım göstermediği görülmüştür. Non parametrik testler seçilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde, spearman korelasyon analizi, Mann-Whitney U ve Kruskal-Wallis H testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, anneden ve babadan algılanan demokratik tutum ile sosyal kaygı arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamamıştır. Anneden ve babadan algılanan otoriter tutum ile sosyal kaygı arasında ise anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Cinsiyete göre, anneden algılanan demokratik tutum ve babadan algılanan demokratik tutum puanları anlamlı düzeyde farklılık göstermezken, anneden algılanan otoriter tutum, babadan algılanan otoriter tutum ve sosyal kaygı puanlarının anlamlı düzeyde farklılık gösterdiği görülmüştür. Algılanan okul başarı düzeyine göre, sosyal kaygı puanlarının anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği, anneden algılanan demokratik tutum, anneden algılanan otoriter tutum, babadan algılanan demokratik tutum ve babadan algılanan otoriter tutum puanlarının ise anlamlı düzeyde farklılık gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Arkadaşlık kurarken zorluk yaşama durumuna göre, anneden algılanan demokratik tutum ve babadan algılanan otoriter tutum puanlarının anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği, anneden algılanan otoriter tutum, babadan algılanan demokratik tutum ve sosyal kaygı puanlarının ise anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği belirlenmiştir.  Anahtar Kelimeler: İlkokul öğrencileri, anne baba tutumları, sosyal kaygı

A review of the relationship between the parents’ attitudes and social anxiety levels that primary school students perceive

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between perceived parental attitudes and social anxiety levels of primary school students. In the research descriptive research method and relative survey model was used. The study group of this research consists of students studying in two primary schools in Selcuklu, Konya in 2017-2018 academic year. For the purpose of the study, 427 students aged 9-11 were administered Personal Information Form, Parental Attitude Scale, and Social Anxiety Scale for Children-Revised. The suitability of the data for normal distribution was measured by using the Single Sample Kolmogorov Smirnov Test. As a result of the test, since p <0.05 was found, data or distribution was accepted not to have normal distribution. To analyze the data, Spearman correlation analysis was used to test the meaning between perceived parent attitudes and social anxiety scores. Mann Whitney U Test was used to examine whether perceived parental attitudes and social anxiety scores differed by gender. Kruskal Wallis H-Test was used to examine whether perceived parental attitudes and social anxiety scores differed according to their achievement levels in the school, having difficulty in making friends and having problems in family relations. According to the results of the study, there was no relationship between perceived democratic attitude from mother and father and social anxiety. A significant relationship was found between authoritarian attitude perceived from mother and father and social anxiety. There was no significant difference between the democratic attitude perceived by the mother and father according to gender a significant difference was found between the scores of perceived authoritarian attitude from mother, authoritarian attitude from father and social anxiety scores. While there was no significant difference between school achievement level and social anxiety scores, there was a significant difference between the scores of the democratic attitude perceived from the mother, the authoritarian attitude perceived from the mother, the democratic attitude perceived from the father, and the authoritarian attitude perceived from the father. There was no significant difference between the democratic attitude perceived by the mother and the authoritarian attitude perceived by the father according to the difficulty in making friends. Significant difference found between the authoritarian attitude perceived from mother, democratic attitude perceived from father, and social anxiety scores.
