İş sağlığı ve güvenliği alanında en önemli konulardan biri eğitimdir. Çünkü iş sağlığı ve güvenliği bilincinin oluşması ancak buna ilişkin eğitim ile ger-çekleşir. Bu çalışmada, İş sağlığı ve güvenliği eğitimine ilişkin olarak İş Sağlığı Güvenliği Kanunu md. 17 ve Çalışanların İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği Usul ve Esasları Hakkında Yönetmelik incelenmiştir. İş sağlığı güvenliği hem işveren hem de işçi açısından yükümlülüktür. Eğitimlerde işin çeşidine göre program yapılması, yer, araç gereç temin edilmesi gerekmektedir. Eğitim konusunda işverenin yükümlülüğü daha fazladır. İşveren hem eğitim sağlamakla, hem de işçilerin eğitime katılımlarını, eğitimin etkinliğini denetlemekle yükümlüdür. İş sağlığı ve güvenliği eğitimi neticesinde iş güvenliği bilincinin oluşması ile iş kazalarının önüne geçilmesi amaçlanmaktadır.

The employer has a high responsibility for training. The employer is obliged both to provide training and to control to the participation of workers in training and the effectiveness of training. As a result of occupational health and safety training, it is aimed at creating occupational safety awareness and preventing occupational accidents.
