Osmanlı tarihi kaynakları arasında Şer’iyye Sicilleri’nin önemli bir yeri vardır. Şer’iyye sicilleri Osmanlı Devletinde toplumun tümüyle ilgili olayları ve bunlarla ilgili mahkeme kararlarını içeren kaynaklardır. Bu siciller içerisinde bulunan tereke kayıtları sosyal ve iktisadi tarih hakkında bize çok önemli veriler sunarlar. Ölen kişilerin mirasçılarına bıraktıkları her türlü menkul ve gayrimenkulleri içeren tereke kayıtları, kaydedildiği yerin sosyo-ekonomik yapısının aydınlatılması bakımından önemli kaynaklardandır. Çorum Şer’iyye Sicillerine göre tespiti yapılmaya çalışılan 1258-1324/1842-1906 arası Çorum kadınlarının giyim kuşam kültürü için on altı tane sicil incelenmiştir. Bu siciller incelendiğinde konuyu aydınlatacak 103 tane kadın tereke kaydı olduğu görülmüştür. 103 kaydın, tereke yekûnlarının belirlenmesinden sonra toplumdaki farklı grupların temsil edilebilmesi için en zengin, en fakir ve ortalama terekesi olan üçer kişi seçilmiştir. Bu kişilerin belirlenmesinde tereke olarak farklı aralıkların seçilmesine dikkat edilmiştir. Bu terekelerin hepsi Müslüman kadın terekesidir. Bu sayede defterde bulunan kayıtlar vasıtasıyla Çorum tarihindeki bir kesite dair kadın giyimi hakkında fikir sahibi olunabilecektir. Böylece Çorum kültür tarihine katkı sağlanabilmesi umulmaktadır.
Among the Ottoman historical sources there is an important place in the Sher'iyye Sicilleri. The records of the Sheriff are the sources that include events related to the entire society in the Ottoman State and court decisions related to them. The records contained in these records provide us with very important data about the social and economic history. The recording of the mortals, which contains all kinds of property and property they leave to their heirs, is an important source for the lighting of the socio-economic structure of the place where they are recorded. The 1258-1324/1842-1906 Chorum women's clothes have been studied for sixteen records for bird culture. When the records were examined, it was found that there were 103 women who had left the record to clarify the matter. After the 103 record, three people, the richest, the poorest and the average, were selected to be represented by the different groups in society after the determination of the distinctive units. In this case, it is important to note the selection of different types of people. All of these are Muslim women. Thus, through the records contained in the book, you will be able to get an idea about a cut in the history of the Zorum women's clothes. It is hoped that this can contribute to the history of culture.

Court Records are the sources that include all the events of the society in the Ottoman Empire and the court decisions related to them. Tereke registers in these records provide us with very important data about social and economic history. Tereke registers containing all kinds of movables and real estates left to the heirs of deceased persons are important sources in terms of clarifying the socio-economic structure of the place where they are recorded. Sixteen records were examined for the clothing culture of Çorum women between 1258-1324 / 1842-1906 which were determined according to Çorum Court Records. When these records are examined, it has been seen that there are 103 female Tereke registers that will illuminate the subject. After the identification of the 103 records and the dictates, three people, the richest, the poorest and the average, were chosen to represent the different groups in the society. In order to determine these individuals, different intervals were chosen. These are all Muslim women. In this way, through the records found in the book, you will have an idea about women's clothing on a section in Çorum history. Thus, it is hoped that contribution will be made to the history of Çorum culture.
