Müzeleri, içerisinde bir topluma ait önemli kültürel eserleri barındıran ve bu eserler sayesinde toplumların geçmişine ışık tutan birer yaygın eğitim kurumu olarak belirtebiliriz. Müzeler içerisinde bulunan eserlerle toplumları eğitme işlevini de yürütmektedirler. Müzeler bilişsel alanda olduğu kadar duyuşsal alanda da bilgi kaynaklarıdır. Ancak yapılan çalışmalarda müzelerin daha çok bilişsel alanda kazandırdıklarına ilişkin araştırmalar yapıldığı görülmüştür. Müzelerin duyuşsal alanda değer kazandırması bu çalışma kapsamında merak konusu olmuştur. Bu nedenle bu çalışmanın amacı sınıf öğretmenlerinin müzelerin değer aktarmadaki rolüne ilişkin görüşlerini belirleyerek incelemektir. Bu araştırma 2015 – 2016 eğitim öğretim yılında Aydın ili Efeler ilçesinde görev yapan 20 sınıf öğretmeni ile yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan olgubilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada verilerin elde edilmesi amacıyla yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Çalışma grubunun belirlenmesinde amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden olan ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubuna alınan öğretmenlerde aranan ölçüt; daha önceden öğrencileriyle birlikte müze gezileri yapmaları olarak belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen verilerinin çözümlenmesinde içerik analizi yönteminden yararlanılmıştır. Yapılan bu araştırmanın sonucunda müzelerin çeşitli değerlerin aktarmasında önemli bir rol oynadığına; müzelerin değer aktarmasında müzenin türünün, müzelerde yapılan etkinliklerin, öğretmen, öğrenci ve aile faktörlerinin etkili olduğu; sınıf öğretmenleri müzelerde değer aktarmak amacıyla süreci planladıkları; müzelerde değer aktarımı sürecinde öğrenci, maddi durumlar ve müzelerin imkânlarından kaynaklı güçlükler yaşandığı; etkili bir şekilde sürecin sürdürülebilmesi için sınıf öğretmenlerinin etkinliklere, müzelere ve öğretim programlarına yönelik önerilerde bulundukları sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.
The museums can be referred to as a widespread educational institution that houses important cultural works of a society and that, through these works, brings light to the past of communities. The museums and the works of the community are also taught. The museums are information sources in the sensual area as well as in the cognitive area. However, the research has shown that museums have gained more knowledge in the field. The importance of the museums in the sensual area was interesting in this work. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to study the class teachers’ opinions on the role of museums in the transfer of value. This study was conducted in the 2015 - 2016 educational year with 20 class teachers working in the Aydin or Efeler district. In the study, the methods of research were used. The research has been conducted for semi-configured conversations to obtain data. The method of sampling is used for the determination of the study group for the purpose of sampling methods. The criterion that is sought in the teachers taken to the study group is determined as they have previously conducted museums with their students. The method of content analysis was used to analyze the data obtained. The study found that museums play an important role in the transmission of various values; that the style of the museum is effective in the transmission of value; that the activities in museums, teachers, students and family factors are effective; that class teachers are planning the process for the transmission of value in museums; that in the process of the transmission of value in museums there are difficulties arising from the possibilities of students, material conditions and museums; that class teachers are presenting recommendations for the activities, museums and teaching programs in order to effectively maintain the process.
We can identify museums as the places hosting important cultural artifacts belonging to a society and due to these artifacts they can shed light on the past of the societies. They also carry out the function of educating the societies with the works in them. As well as being sources of information in cognitive field, the museums are sources of information in the affective field. However it was observed that the researches were mostly related to the cognitive fields acquisitions. It was a matter of curiosity for this study that through museums it can be gained value in the affective field. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to examine the class teachers' views on the role of the museums in value transfer. This research was carried out with 20 class teachers working in Efeler district of Aydın in 2015 - 2016 academic year. In the study, phenomenology, which is one of the qualitative research methods was used. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to obtain research data. Being one of the purpose sampling methods, the criterion sampling method was used in determining the study group. Having had trips with their students previously was taken as a criterion for the teachers who are taken in the study group. The content analysis method was used to analyze the obtained data. As a result of this research, it has been reached that museums play an important role in transferring various values; in the value transfer the type of museums, type of activities, the teachers, the students and the family factors are influential; class teachers plan the process to transfer value in the museums; in the process of value transfer in museums, students have difficulties due to the financial situation and opportunities of the museums, and class teachers offer proposals for activities, programs and teaching programs in order to be able to sustain the process in an effective manner.
