Özet Tüketicilerin yiyeceklere yönelik çeşitlilik arayışı eğilimlerinin seviyesinin tespit edilmesi, son yıllarda üzerinde bilimsel araştırma yapılan konulardan biridir. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın amacı, Erciyes Üniversitesi öğrencilerinin yiyeceklere yönelik çeşitlilik arayışı eğilimlerini tespit etmek ve öğrencilerinin yiyecekte çeşitlilik arayışı eğilimlerinin demografik özelliklerine göre farklılaşıp, farklılaşmadığını belirlemektir. Bu kapsamda, öğrencilerinden toplanan veri setine tanımlayıcı testler ve parametrik ve parametrik olmayan analizler yapılmıştır. Demografik özelliklerin analiz edilmesinden sonra, faktör analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan faktör analizinin sonuçlarına göre, öğrencilerin yiyecekte çeşitlilik arayışı eğilimlerine sahip olduğu ortaya konulmuştur. Bununla birlikte, alışkın oldukları yiyeceklerden vazgeçemedikleri ve tuhaf yiyeceklere karşı da temkinli davrandıkları kanaati oluşmuştur. Öğrencilerinin demografik özellikleri ile yiyecekte çeşitlilik arayışı eğilimi arasında farklılık olup, olmadığının tespiti için parametrik olmayan analizler yapılmıştır. Bu bağlamda oluşturulan hipotezlerin kabul ve ret olma durumları sorgulanmıştır. Oluşturulan 8 hipotezden 6 tanesi (yaş, eğitim durumu, medeni durum, aylık gelir ve milliyet) reddedilmiş, 2 tanesi (okul ve sınıf) ise kabul edilmiştir. Okul ya da meslek alanları farklı olan öğrencilerin, yiyecekte çeşitlilik arayışı eğilimlerinin de farklılaştığı belirlenmiştir. 1.Sınıf öğrencilerin yiyecekte çeşitlilik arayışı eğilimlerinin yüksek çıkmasına istinaden, gittikleri şehirde ve ilk yılda, değişik yemekleri daha fazla deneme arzusunda oldukları öngörüsünde bulunulmuştur.
Determining the level of consumers' trends in search of food diversity is one of the topics of scientific research in recent years. The aim of the study in this context is to identify the tendencies of the students in the search for diversity for food and to determine whether their students in the search for diversity in food differentiate or not according to their demographic characteristics. In this context, identifying tests and parametric and non-parametric analyses were performed on the data set collected from students. After the analysis of the demographic characteristics, the factor analysis was carried out. According to the results of the factor analysis, it has been found that students tend to seek diversity in food. However, there has been a creation that they can’t give up the food they’re used to, and they are also careful against strange foods. There are differences between the demographic characteristics of their students and the tendency to seek diversity in food, and non-parametric analyses have been made to determine that they are not. In this context, the conditions of acceptance and rejection of the hypotheses created have been questioned. Six of the eight hypotheses created (age, education, civil status, monthly income and nationality) were rejected, and two (school and class) were accepted. It has been determined that students who have different school or professional fields also have different trends in the search for diversity in food. 1 . Considering the elevated tendencies of class students to seek diversity in food, it has been predicted that in the city they go and in the first year, they want to try more different meals.
Abstract Determining the level of consumers' tendencies to seek variety in food is one of the issues on which scientific research has been conducted in recent years. In this context, the aim of the study is to determine the diversity-seeking tendencies of Erciyes University students towards food and to determine whether the students' diversity-seeking tendencies in food differ according to their demographic characteristics. In this context, descriptive tests and parametric and non-parametric analyses were performed on the data set collected from the students. After analyzing the demographic characteristics, factor analysis was performed. According to the results of the factor analysis carried out, it has been revealed that students have a tendency to seek variety in food. However, the belief has been formed that they cannot give up the food they are used to and that they are also wary of strange foods. In order to Decipher whether there is a difference between the demographic characteristics of the students and their tendency to seek variety in food, non-parametric analyses were performed. In this context, the acceptance and rejection states of the hypotheses created have been questioned. Of the 8 hypotheses created, 6 (age, educational status, marital status, monthly income and nationality) were rejected, and 2 (school and classroom) were accepted. It has been determined that the tendencies of students whose school or professional fields are different to seek variety in food also differ. 1.Due to the high tendency of the students to seek variety in food, it has been predicted that they want to try different dishes more in the city they go to and in the first year.
