Pazarlama faaliyetlerinin mobil olarak icra edilmesi olarak özetlenebilecek mobil pazarlama, son yıllarda işletmelerin olduğu kadar özellikle araştırmacıların da ilgisini çeken konulardan biri haline gelmiştir. Uluslararası literatürde görece uzun zamandır kendine yer bulan mobil pazarlama, Türkiye’de özellikle son on beş yıldır lisansüstü düzeyde akademik olarak çalışılan bir konu olmuştur. Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’de mobil pazarlama alanında yazılan lisansüstü tezlerinin genel bir profilinin ortaya çıkartılmasıdır. Çalışmanın amacını gerçekleştirmek için çeşitliaraştırma soruları sorulmuş ve bu sorulara içerik analizi yöntemiyle yanıtlar aranmıştır. Gerçekleştirilen içerik analizine günümüze kadar mobil pazarlama üzerine yazılan ve Yükseköğretim Kurulunun Tez Tarama sayfasına kayıtlı ve erişime açık bütün tezler dahil edilmiştir. 2007–2022 yılları arasında yazılmış toplam 55 tezin detaylıca incelendiği bu çalışma sonucunda özellikle son beş yılda mobil pazarlama üzerine yapılan tez sayısında belirgin artış olduğu görülmektedir. Mobil pazarlama konusunun sadece pazarlama akademisyenlerince değil farklı bilim dallarından araştırmacılar tarafından da çalışıldığı oraya çıkmıştır. Mobil pazarlama üzerine yazılan tezlerde en çok çalışılan alan ise tüketici davranışları olmuştur.

Mobile Marketing: A Content Analysis On Postgraduate and Doctorate Theses In Turkiye (2007-2022)

Abstract:

The term Mobile Marketing, which can be summarized as the mobile execution of marketing activities, has become one of the important subjects that attracts the attention of researchers as well as businesses in recent years. Mobile marketing, which has been in the international literature for a relatively long time, has been an academic subject studied at the graduate level especially for the last fifteen years in Türkiye. The aim of this study is to reveal a general profile of postgraduate and doctorate theses on mobile marketing in Türkiye. To achieve this aim, various research questions were developed and then these questions were answered through content analysis. All of the written theses on mobile marketing, which are registered and open to access on the related web page of the Council of Higher Education, were included in the content analysis. A total of 55 written theses between the years of 2007 and 2022 were examined in detail. According to the results, there has been a significant increase in the number of theses on mobile marketing, especially in the last five years. It was revealed that mobile marketing is studied not only by marketing academics but also by researchers from different disciplines. It was also found that the most frequently studied area in these theses has been the field of consumer behavior.
