Abstract:

In this study, some quality criteria, together with the performance and performance elements of 12 arpa varieties (Fahrettinbey, Republic-50, Özdemir-05, Kalaycı-97, Çıldır-02, İnce-04, Efes-98, Erciyes, Çumra-2001, Sladoran, Tarm-92 and Tokak-157/35) in order to determine their conformity to the region, were studied in Samsun (Gelemen) during the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 cultivation periods. The trials were established 4 times every two years in the trial pattern of random blocks, and there were significant differences between the varieties in terms of all the agricultural characteristics studied. The period of reproduction of the varieties is 120.00-132.00 days, the period of maturity is 160.00-170.63 days, the length of the plant is 91.59-121.27 cm, the number of pearls in m2 is 400.29-493.75 pieces, the length of pearls is 7.28-9.56 cm, the number of pearls is 24.29-27.28 pieces, the weight of pearls is 0.94-1. 06 g, harvest index 34.61-43.00, one yield 378.47-525.50 kg/day, one yield ratio 81.94-91.19, 1000 one weight 37.82-49.84 g, hectolitre weight 65.83-70.48 kg, and raw protein ratio varied between 10.26-12.00%. Sladoran, Fahrettinbey and Zumra-2001 varieties (secondly, 525.50, 512.57 and 507.25 kg/day), Fahrettinbey (49.84 g) and Sladoran (47.97 g) varieties with the highest weight, Sladoran (70.48 kg) and Fahrettinbey (69.15 kg) varieties with the highest weight, and Ephesus-98 varieties with the highest raw protein ratio (% 12.00). The result of this study, taking into account the performance and quality characteristics, has come to the conclusion that Sladoran, Fahrettinbey and Çumra-2001 varieties, compared to other varieties, are hopeful varieties in Samsun conditions.
