İlköğretim Öğrencilerinin Okul Sosyal Hizmet Programına Yönelik Görüşlerinin Kazanım Boyutunda Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract:

Bu araştırma, Okul Sosyal Hizmet Programının kazanımlarının öğrenci görüşlerine göre değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada betimsel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Bu sebeple, Okul Sosyal Hizmet Programının kazanım boyunda değerlendirilebilmesi için araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan 15 maddelik 5’li likert tipi derecelendirilen ölçek geliştirilmiştir. Ölçek için, uzman görüşleri alındıktan sonra maddeler düzeltilmiş, güvenilirlik kat sayısı hesaplanmış ve ölçek uygulamaya hazır hale getirilmiştir. Araştırmanın verileri, 2019-2020 Eğitim Öğretim Yılı güz döneminde (Ekim-Kasım-Aralık) Yalova İl Millî Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı 125 ortaokul öğrencisine uygulanmıştır. Ulaşılan bulgulara dayalı olarak, Okul Sosyal Hizmet Programın amacının ve içeriğinin kavrandığı ve programın önemi hakkında bilgi sahibi olunduğu, okul sosyal hizmet programı uygulanan öğrencilerin toplumdaki sorunlara veya sosyal olaylara karşı bilgilendiği, öğrencilere ders kapsamında yapılan faaliyetlerin, onların sosyal sorumluluklarını olumlu yönde geliştirdiği, özeleştiri yapmalarına katkı sağladığı, davranışlarında özgüven ve sosyal becerileri kazanması boyutunda oldukça etkili sonuç verdiği, müfredatta yer almasının gerektiği yönünde görüş bildirdikleri ve programı faydalı bulduğu tespit edilmiştir. Okul Sosyal Hizmet Programının felsefesi olan sosyal sorumluluk bilinci, toplumsal farkındalık ve duyarlılık, etkili iletişim kurma ve liderlik becerileri desteklendiğinde öğretilebilir ve geliştirilebilir olduğunu bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara dayalı olarak da; Okul Sosyal Hizmet Programının kazanım boyutunu artırmaya yönelik öğretmenlere hizmet içi eğitim semineri verilmesi, araştırma sonuçları dikkate alınarak, yerel ve bölgesel özellikler dikkate alınarak öğrencilerin yaşadığı çevreye katkı sağlayacak etkinliklere katılımının artırılması önemli görülmektedir.

Abstract:

This research was carried out with the aim of evaluating the achievements of the School Social Service Program according to the students’ opinions. In the study, a visual scan model was used. Therefore, the scale of the likert type of 15 item 5 prepared by the researcher was developed in order to evaluate the School Social Service Program in the earnings length. For the scale, after the expert opinions were taken, the materials were corrected, the number of reliability folds was calculated and the scale was made ready for application. The research data was applied to 125 high school students associated with the Yalova Provincial National Education Directorate in the 2019-2020 Education Teaching Year (October-November-December). On the basis of the findings, the purpose and content of the School Social Service Program is understood and the importance of the program is known, the students implementing the School Social Service Program are informed of the problems in society or social events, the activities under the course are given to the students, their social responsibilities are improved in a positive direction, they contribute to their personalization, they give very effective results in the extent of their behavior gain of self-confidence and social skills, they have expressed their views on the need to participate in the course and they have found the program useful. The philosophy of the School Social Service Program has found that social responsibility awareness, social awareness and sensitivity, effective communication and leadership skills can be taught and developed when supported. Based on the results obtained; it is important to provide teachers with service training seminars to increase the scale of the School Social Service Program, to increase participation in activities that will contribute to the environment in which students live, taking into account the results of research, taking into account local and regional characteristics.

This research was carried out in order to evaluate the achievements of the School Social Work Program according to the students' opinions. A descriptive survey model was used in the research. For this reason, a 5-point Likert-type scale with 15 items prepared by the researcher was developed in order to evaluate the School Social Work Program in terms of learning outcomes. After receiving expert opinions for the scale, the items were corrected, the reliability coefficient was calculated and the scale was made ready for application. The data of the research were applied to 125 secondary school students affiliated to Yalova Provincial Directorate of National Education in the autmn term of the 2019-2020 Academic Year (October-November-December). Based on the findings, the aim and content of the School Social Work Program are comprehended and the importance of the program is learned, the students who are applied the school social work program are informed about the problems in the society or social events, the activities carried out within the scope of the course improve their social responsibilities in a positive way, and they can make self-criticism. It has been determined that it contributes to the development of self-confidence and social skills in one's behavior, that it gives a very effective result, that it should be included in the curriculum, and that they find the program useful. It has been found that the philosophy of the School Social Work Program can be taught and improved when social responsibility awareness, social awareness and sensitivity, effective communication and leadership skills are supported. Based on the results obtained; It is considered important to give in-service training seminars to teachers to increase the achievement dimension of the School Social Work Program, and to increase the participation of students in activities that will contribute to the environment in which they live, taking into account the research results and taking into account local and regional characteristics.
