Abstract:

The objective of this research is to identify and describe the research trends of the postgraduate theses prepared on the existence of word and word teaching in Turkish teaching as a foreign language between 1981 and 2021. In accordance with this objective, the Council of Higher Education has achieved a total of 98 thesis thesis, including 83 master's, 15 doctor's, from the National Thesis Center database. The 98 sub-graduate theses achieved in the research framework in which content analysis is used from the quality data analysis techniques are studied and classified according to year, type, subject area, research method, language level studied, data collection tools and analysis methods. The study found that the first postgraduate thesis on the existence of word and word teaching in Turkish as a foreign language was written in 2004, and that the postgraduate thesis was concentrated in recent years. The researchers found that the use of methods, technical and material and the topics of the existence of words in the curriculum books were highlighted, more qualified methods were preferred and the studies were focused on the more basic (A1-A2) and medium (B1-B2) levels.
