GELENEKSEL KIRKYAMA TEKNİĞİNİN GELİŞİMİNE KATKI SAĞLAYAN ETKİNLİKLER

Abstract:

İlk çağlarda mağarada yaşayan insanların, avlanma sonucu yakaladıkları hayvanların kürklerini birleştirerek ve yamayarak doğa şartlarından korunmak amacı ile vücutlarına sardıkları böylece farkında olmadan yamama tekniği geliştirdikleri bilinmektedir. Kırkyama; eskimiş, yıpranmış, delinmiş giysilerin onarılması ve yeniden kullanıma kazandırılarak değerlendirilmesi veya artık kumaşların küçük parçalar halinde birleştirilerek daha büyük ebatlarda kumaşların oluşturulması amacı ile yapılan bir halk sanatı olarak tarif edilmektedir. Türk kültüründe somut olmayan kültürel miras niteliği taşıyan geleneksel giyim-kuşam ve süsleme teknikleri gelecek nesillere aktarılması gereken değerler arasında yer almaktadır. Literatürde halk sanatı olarak nitelendirilen kırkyama tekniği ile nesilden nesile çeyiz yolu ile aktarılan ve manevi değeri yüksek olan giysilerin kullanım ömrü artmış, bu şekilde etnografik özellikte değer kazanan örneklerin geçmişten günümüze kadar yok olmadan ulaşmasında büyük bir rol oynamıştır. 1960’lı yıllarda tüm sanat dalları arasındaki etkileşimlerin artış göstermesi ile birlikte tekstil sanatında da değişim ve gelişimlerin gözlendiği, disiplinlerarası malzeme geçişi ve geleneksel tekniklerdeki kişisel yorumların ön plana çıktığı bilinmektedir. Bu doğrultuda kırkyama tekniğinin kullanıldığı sanat eserleri de ortaya çıkmaya başlamıştır. Bu çalışmada geleneksel kırkyama tekniğinin gelişimini etkileyen sergi, yarışma gibi Türkiye’de gerçekleştirilen bazı etkinlikler incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın gerçekleşmesi için öncelikli olarak literatür taraması yapılmış, etkinlikleri düzenleyen kişi ve kurumlar ile görüşülerek gerekli verilere ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca etkinliklerde yer alan eserler arasından seçilen örneklerin fotoğrafları metin kısmını destekleyecek şekilde yerleştirilmiştir.

Effects of the evolution of the traditional cutting technique

Abstract:

It is known that in the early epochs, people living in the cave had developed the technician of swallowing without awareness, by combining the skin of the animals they captured as a result of hunting and by not swallowing their bodies in order to protect them from the conditions of nature. Quirkyama is described as a popular art made with the purpose of repairing and re-use old, broken, broken clothes or now combined in small pieces of fabric and made in larger sizes of fabric. Traditional clothing and decoration techniques, which have a non-specific cultural heritage in the Turkish culture, are among the values to be transmitted to future generations. In literature, the quarantine technique, which is called popular art, has increased the usage life of clothes that are of high spiritual value and transmitted by quarantine path from generation to generation, thus playing a major role in the achievement of examples that gain value in ethnographic characteristics without disappearance from the past to the present day. In the 1960s, with the increased interactions between all the branches of art, changes and developments were observed in textile art, the interdisciplinary material transition and personal interpretations in traditional techniques were known to come to the forefront. The artworks used in this direction have also begun to appear. In this study, some events in Turkey, such as the exhibition, competition, which influences the development of the traditional quarrying technique, have been studied. The study was conducted primarily by literature scan, discussed with the persons and institutions that organized the events and obtained the necessary data. Also, the photos of the examples selected among the works involved in the events are placed in a way that supports the text section.

The Traditional Patchwork Technique Events That Contribute To Their Development

It is known that people living in caves in the early ages developed the patching technique unknowingly, wrapping them around their bodies to protect them from natural conditions by combining and patching the furs of animals they caught as a result of hunting. Patchwork; It is described as a folk art made with the aim of repairing old, worn, punctured clothes and reusing them for reuse, or combining leftover fabrics in small pieces to create larger fabrics. Traditional clothing and decoration techniques, which are intangible cultural heritage in Turkish culture, are among the values that should be transferred to future generations. With the patchwork technique, which is described as a folk art in the literature, the service life of the clothes, which are transferred from generation to generation through dowry and have a high moral value, have increased, and thus, it has played a great role in the survival of the examples that have gained value in ethnographic characteristics from the past to the present. It is known that with the increase in interactions between all branches of art in the 1960s, changes and developments were observed in textile art, interdisciplinary material transition and personal interpretations in traditional techniques came to the fore. In this direction, works of art in which the patchwork technique was used began to appear. In this study, some events that affect the development of the traditional patchwork technique such as exhibitions and competitions in Turkey were examined. For the realization of the study, first of all, a literature review was made, and the necessary data were obtained by interviewing the people and institutions that organized the events. In addition, the photographs of the samples selected from the works included in the activities were placed in a way to support the text part.
