Recreation activities include all the activities that people participating voluntarily for the rest themselves physically and spiritually during their leisure time. These activities consist of entertaining people, relaxing and satisfying impulses, and contribute to the elimination of their physical and mental fatigue. This is also more essential for college students. The study investigates the attitudes of the students related recreational activities at Sındırgı Vocational School in the Balıkesir University. For this purpose, a survey was applied on the face to face to 330 students and data were analyzed with SPSS. Research results indicate that there are statistically significant differences between the students’ frequency of participation and participation desire in recreational activities. In addition, there are also significant differences between demographic variables and recreational trends among students. The research results show that barriers to participate in recreational activities vary according to gender, family income levels and departments. In addition, the most important barriers are ranked in order of importance as economic, organizational, recreation area, internal and physiological origin. Finally, some proposals are developed for the relevant.
